Lent Days 32 and 33: April 1st & 2nd, 2017

Sorry about no update yesterday, but life as a parent just got in the way and I was too exhausted to write last night.  I started with taking my kids to their first ever soccer games.  My son’s team won, and he scored a goal in his first ever soccer game!  My daughter’s team did not win, but she hustled and played great and in the 2nd half they put her in at goalie and she only gave up 1 goal.  They were already down 3-0 after the 1st half.

Right after the soccer games, we had to rush home, get baths and get lunch done as my son had a 2.5 hour retreat at St. Matthew Catholic Church to go through his First Communion Retreat.  After that, it was time to get back home and go get the kids dinner for Date Night with my wife.  We went to Bonefish Grill and I got the Tilapia Imperial w/ garlic mashed potatoes, white truffle mac and cheese and a bowl of crab corn chowder.  I know it was too many calories, but it was really good.  After that, we went with friends to one of those Escape Rooms, but we didn’t escape.  A picture of my meal is included in this post.

As for today, Sunday, April 2, 2017, it was  typical day.  We went to Mass and then I kept the kids home so my wife could go out and do some shopping she needed to do.  I just chilled with the kids at home and once my wife got home, I ran out and bought her dinner.  It was  nice weekend,  The really cool thing is I am inside of 2 weeks left.  Only 13 days to go!!!
